1decision provide life changing resources for children. Their program is currently available for students in years 1 to 6 and will soon be available for nursery and reception classes. Modules have been created by PSHE and Safeguarding experts together with schools, and - most importantly - children. They provide resources to schools in 42 counties.
Modules contain short scenario-based dramas for children to watch and then decide which of the characters they agree with. The children then view the negative or positive follow-on films, learning how their decisions can have a positive or negative outcome.
For the last six years we have produced these drama-based scenario films for 1decision. Topics we have covered include healthy eating, internet safety, feelings, fire safety and relationships.
Each film takes on average one day to film and involves working with children and adult performers. The scenarios are set in numerous locations like fire stations, parks, schools, homes, lakes and dance schools.
We have developed our skills in communicating and working with children and learnt how to get the best out of them during the filming. The kids love watching the films and we love making them.
We’re proud to be helping 1decision in their mission to provide children with the tools and information to make better decisions – being part of the prevention and not the cure.
