Role: Junior Animator and Editor - office-based
This is an amazing opportunity for somebody with a passion for animation and editing, a creative eye and who wants to be part of a growing production company with big ambitions. You’ll be working with a dynamic, busy, fun and professional team – currently 5 people. You’ll be creating eye-catching 2D explainer and character animations. You’ll also be making animated intro/outro boards, lower thirds and animated logos for every project we work on, as well as editing some of the live-action footage shot by our team.
The clients you’ll be working with cover a diverse range of industries and come from across the UK and beyond. We create high-quality and engaging content that clients are proud to share and that brings them proven results. You could find yourself working on a variety of projects for a wide range of clients –from drink brands to automotive companies.
Established in 2003, Pearldrop is a full-service creative film agency based in Stevenage, covering the whole of the UK and beyond. Our services include production, editing, animation, aerial photography and videography and stills.
Reports to: Denise Austin, Director
Location: Stevenage Arts & Leisure Centre, Lytton Way, Stevenage, Hertfordshire, SG1 1LZ
After Effects production of explainer and character animations, intros, outros and lower thirds
Editing using Adobe Premiere
Understanding clients’ requirement from discussions and briefs and generating animation ideas
Developing storyboards where necessary
Creative input into projects
We anticipate approximately 75% of your time will be spent on animation and After Effects and 25% editing.
You'll have experience in:
Adobe Creative Suite, especially After Effects
Creating character and “explainer”-style animations
Interested and passionate about animation and film
A team player
Able to take and interpret briefs
Able to work well under pressure and to deadlines
Courteous and presentable
Salary – £22k – £25k depending on experience
Holiday – 22 days per annum plus bank holidays
Hours – 37.5 per week (TOIL – time off in lieu at discretion of Director, Denise Austin)
