The Inspiring Hertfordshire Awards
The Inspiring Hertfordshire Awards is an annual event run by the Hertfordshire Chamber of Commerce. It’s held to honour businesses large and small across the county. Since 2021, the ceremony has taken place on Platform 9 3/4 at the Harry Potter Studio Tour at Leaveseden Studios. Pearldrop has provided video and photographic services for the event since its first edition in 2012.
The brief
We were asked to create a suite of content for this project, including a launch trailer, on-screen content on the night, a highlights film and a set of photographs.

our approach
Firstly, we created an animated film in the style of a Harry Potter movie trailer, which was played at the launch of the Awards in the spring of 2022.
On the big night, we supplied two film cameras in the main hall, which were hooked up to the AV team’s vision mixing desk to privide a live feed to their big screens.
Before people sat down for dinner, one of the film cameras was attached to our steadicam, allowing the operator to follow guests through the tour experience to shoot some wonderfully cinemtatic footage for the highlights film.
Our event photographer took shots of guests, winners and sponsors as they enjoyed the evening. After each award was announced, we photographed the winners and sponsor against the client’s step-and-repeat board.
Early the next morning, we supplied a complete set of edited photographs for press and social media. 24 hours later we supplied the fully-edited highlights film.
